- 1kg of Vacherin Fribourgeois PDO
- 2 to 3 dl of water
Heat the water in the fondue pot, add the vacherin and melt slowly. This is crucial. Stir constantly and add warm water if necessary. The fondue must be smooth, creamy and even a little sticky and pleasantly warm. The Vacherin fondue is served on a candle stove. Important: it must not cook. It is served with bread or potatoes boilt in their skin.
