Our region is crossed by one of the main highways of Switzerland: the A12 motorway, which connects Bern to Vevey.
Motorways: 120 km/h
Main roads: 80 km/h
In villages or towns: 50 km/h
There is no motorway toll in Switzerland but the purchase of an annual road tax sticker is compulsory (CHF 40.-) in order to drive on motorways. The sticker is on sale at customs offices, service stations and newspaper kiosks.
